    ABA TECHSHOW 2023: So Far, So FUN

    Well, to summarize, if you aren't at ABA TECHSHOW this year, you are missing out. The buzz is real. People are happy to be here. There is a lot of interaction on the Trade Show floor. In summary, so far, so fun. While the social aspect makes the event enjoyable, it's not the entire reason we are here. So let's get to some highlights from night 1 and a bit of day 2.

    Technology

    The real reason we are here, right? Honestly, we have been pretty busy in our booth getting to know people and talking about tech. Displays continue to be engaging, exhibitors offering all sorts of benefits that are useful to law firms and clients, and the ongoing educational offerings. As far as new tech, startup alley has some great new offerings. Is AI present? Of course it is. Are case management software platforms adding new features? Affirmative. In many ways, more of the same, with the emphasis on more. 

    Although law firms adopted various cloud-based software tools in the pandemic, many are feeling the pinch of data silos. Addressing how to make the data work harder is one key theme we are seeing. Integrations, platform-based solutions, and support options to make all of this a bit more manageable. 

    Community

    So great to be solely back in-person. The buzz was real. Great to see everyone again, too. The folks who manage the show did a great job of giving plenty of opportunities for folks to get together on the trade show floor. We saw lots of users and partners, which is always a highlight. We met a lot of new people too. The legal community continues to be a great group.

    Fun

    We really enjoyed all the breaks, magic (sure, it was in our booth but wow, so good), and the gorilla. You had to be there. Suffice it to say, it has been a super fun and engaging show. With one day left to go, we can only imagine what will happen next. More of the same? We can only hope.
